Step away from the day-to-day and into life and this moment with our Weekend Horse Immersion. This program runs Friday, 5:30 pm to Sunday, 3 pm. Lodging not included (We do have tipis and a big tent here bookable on Hipcamp and Paonia has nice hotels and plenty or Airbnb's available.) Our adult/family weekend programs have been uniquely crafted to provide a one-of-a-kind experience of learning, presence, play, rejuvenation, and adventure! Many of us dream of riding and so often choose to go on a riding holiday to satisfy this desire. Unfortunately though, we are then placed in a beginner group which really isn't the dream we expected. These 7 lessens give you the opportunity to learn the basics about catching, grooming, tacking your horse up, horsemanship and riding. Depending on your fear level (We also have a weekend for people very afraid of horses) you will come out able to walk and trot comfortably on the trail and likely more. If you have a particular interest we can expand on that. If you haven't ridden in years this course will serve as a nice refresher. You can book this with a friend, partner, or for an intimate family experience. Max 4 persons. Basic Itinerary: (Subject to change based on weather, participant experience, etc.). Friday 5:30 pm, MT: Arrival Orientation, Meet the horses, walk the property, evening gathering. Saturday 9:00 - 11:00 pm: Sentient Horse Lesson 11:00 - 1:00 pm: Lunch (On your own. Local discounts to Paonia favs) 1:00 pm: Groundwork 2:00-3:00 Sentient Horse Lesson Break 4:00-5:00 pm: Horse Play - Riding 7:30 pm: Campfire Social *Optional Sunday 9:00 - 11 pm: Sentient Horse Lesson 3 11:30 - 12:30 pm: Group Lunch 1:00 - 2 pm: Horse Play 2:00 pm: Closing Circle & Goodbyes
